These pendants and earrings are composed of sterling silver and 24 karat gold.  They were created using Keum-boo, an ancient Korean gilding technique where thin pieces of 24K gold are heat and pressure fused directly to the surface of the sterling silver.

Many of the pieces were then oxidized and textured, to enhance the contrast between the gold design and the silver.  Finally, a layer of fine wax was applied, to protect the oxidation and prevent tarnishing.  Each piece is unique.
